I completed my training in General Psychiatry in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1998, and I am on the GMC Specialist Register. Since 1998, I have worked in the field of Eating Disorders Psychiatry at Consultant level, first as the Locum Consultant Psychiatrist for the Regional (later Richardson) Eating Disorders Service, RVI, Newcastle upon Tyne and then the substantive post holder since 1999. I have extensive knowledge and expertise in this field of Psychiatry and also in the assessment and treatment of Depression, Anxiety, Psychosomatic disorders and other non-psychoses conditions.

I have been a clinical trainer, throughout my career, of undergraduate and postgraduate doctors as well as other professionals. I am, therefore, able to provide mentoring and coaching to anyone, in any field, who feels they might benefit from this approach.
